Terms & Conditions

1. About DormSpot
DormSpot ("we", "us") is a service that monitors publicly-listed student housing in the Netherlands and notifies subscribed users by email and/or WhatsApp when new listings match their saved criteria. DormSpot is not a housing provider, broker, or agent and is not affiliated with the platforms whose listings it surfaces.
2. Account & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Subscription & payment
Paid features are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable consumer law.
4. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
Under EU law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance-purchased digital service. By starting to use paid alerts before this period ends, you expressly agree that your right of withdrawal is waived once the service begins.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape, resell, or redistribute DormSpot content, not to share your account, and not to use the service for any unlawful purpose.
6. No guarantees
DormSpot relies on third-party listing sources. We do not guarantee that every listing will be detected, that notifications will arrive within a specific time, or that a listing is still available by the time you see it. The service is provided "as is".
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules.
